We are grateful to our forebears who developed a mission-focused congregation that continues to be very true of Wauwatosa Presbyterian today. Opportunities abound for our members to pitch in when and where they can – that might mean donating underwear for a men’s shelter on Undie Sunday, or painting at a work day at Habitat for Humanity, children might collect food for the Tosa Food Pantry or pull weeds at a local park. Adults and high school students participate in occasional mission trips. Volunteer crews have gone to Florida, Iowa, Mississippi and wherever disaster assistance teams have been needed. Members have gone to Ghana, Africa, working with a sister congregation.
Maybe your time isn’t free for a service project, but maybe you can contribute financially to the cause. We donate to a large number of local and international charities.
Be assured, that if you want to serve in whatever way your time permits, we can find a place for you to join in. Many of our members get involved and all those who are able comment on how much they receive in the giving. So whether it’s a local opportunity or something farther away, join our active, caring community and see what happens to your own heart.
