Mission

Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church members contribute both financially and with their time and energy to a large number of causes in our area and beyond. Our mission committee works to find a variety of opportunities for members of all ages to serve others. Some examples of ways members have worked together for the common good are:

Mission Blitz Weekend – a work weekend where members, including families with younger children, were sent to various agencies around town working on different projects (e.g. – painting, gardening, sorting books, etc.).

Wauwatosa Presbyterian groups (adults and teens) have helped with hurricane and flood relief efforts in Florida, Iowa, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Our teens serve regularly at the St. Benedict’s meal program in downtown Milwaukee.

Items collected and donated:

Each month we collect designated nonperishable food items on Communion Sunday which are donated to the Wauwatosa Food Pantry.

  • Other donation needs have been met by collections for:
    • Guest House of Milwaukee – On “Undie Sunday” we collect men’s underwear and socks for this program.
    • Literacy Center of Wisconsin – Collected books for annual book sale

We are a charter member of Common Ground and contribute both financially and with active member participation.

With the generosity of our members, we are able to contribute financially to twelve local agencies, one regional and one international.

If you feel called to serve God in our area and the greater world, please join us in whatever ways you are able. You are most welcome. We know from our experience in these mission efforts, that you will gain more than you give.
