Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church is proud of our Music Program that supports the worship and spiritual life of our members. All ages and levels of skill are encouraged to participate in the variety of opportunities that are available.

The Chancel Choirinvites singers of senior high school age and above to share in this music experience. Under the direction of Martha Dodds Stoner, the group rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. from September through May. They provide worship music for the 10:30 service on the first, second, and fourth Sundays of each month and for the 8:15 service on the third Sunday. They prepare a major work each year for either Advent/Christmas or Lent/Easter.

The Rainbow Choir is for children from 1^st grade through 5^th grade. They rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:20 pm. They are directed by Joanne Weinberg. The choir participates in worship regularly.

Our Bell Choirs include one for adults and opportunities for Middle and High School students. The adults rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. They offer musical selections regularly on the third Sunday of the month at the 10:30 service and at other community performances. All of the bell choirs are led by Jean Miller.

Instrumentalists

Instrumentalists are often invited to play individually or in groups, sometimes with choral works. We are very grateful to have many talented musicians who offer their gifts to the congregation. We are proud to presently have church members who play bagpipes, hammered dulcimer, and glass harmonica along with many other standard instruments. Instrumental groups are directed by Don Weinberg.

Drama at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church

Dramatic opportunities are also a highlight of our Worship. Church members of all ages have prepared dramatizations that enrich the experience and worship of the church. Sacred Musicals are presented by the children and youth, sometimes prepared during Vacation Bible School. The Chancel Choir has presented “Amahl and the Night Visitors” by Gian Carlo Menotti and “Fiesta de la Posada” by Dave Brubeck.

Dance at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church

Our congregation enjoys the gifts of dancers in worship. We have invited professional liturgical dance groups to our services and done sessions of dance with our youth groups.
