  • Sunday, January 9th: Baby Moses

The story of Moses begins when he is just a baby—a baby at risk! After Pharaoh decreed that all Hebrew baby boys must be drowned, Moses’ mother planned something different. She placed her baby in a papyrus basket and floated it down the river. The baby’s sister, Miriam, hid in the reeds to watch as Pharaoh’s daughter discovered the basket. Pharaoh’s daughter decided to raise the baby—with the help of Moses’s mother.

  • Sunday, February 20th: Ezekial

God called Ezekiel to be a prophet and lead the exiled community of Israel. Ezekiel had many visions of God! In his most well-known vision, he saw a valley of dry bones. Soon the bones came to life with muscle and skin! These bones coming to life symbolized Israel coming back to life as a united people after being conquered by Assyria and Babylon. The people of Israel needed to hear this message that God would be with them and bring them back to their home.
