Adults face obstacles when they lack basic knowledge, education credentials, and English language skills. Literacy Services of Wisconsin (LSW) partners with motivated adults to provide access to quality basic education and skills training so they can improve their lives, enrich their families, and strengthen our community.

LSW empowers students through three main programs: Adult Basic Education - focused on improving adults’ basic language, reading, and math skills and/or preparing them for GED/ HSED instruction, English Language Learning - focused on improving fluency of non-native English speakers to allow better navigation of resources, education, and employment, and Adult Secondary Education - focused on helping adults earn secondary educational credentials such as a GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
